About Gaia Soulmates - Is your soul mate waiting?
Gaia Soulmates emerged from our original social network, Gaia Community, a site that grew from our dream of creating a virtual sanctuary for seekers and visionaries and all those on a spiritual journey—a home for those who understand the connection between personal and planetary well-being, and who believe in the power of positive intention to creating a better future.
Today Gaia Community is thriving. Still, many of our members wondered why we didn't have a section for those seeking romantic relationships—a place where they could meet others who shared their values, and meet others looking for a partner who could value their most authentic self.
So, slowly and hopefully, we launched Gaia Soulmates: a dating site where spiritually-inclined singles can come to connect in a safe and empowering environment. (If you're read this far, you might recognize a bit of yourself in these lines.) Needless to say, we're honored to provide this space where like-minded cultural creatives, lovers of life and learning, and seekers of all types can meet others who share their values. :)

Why We're Different
While the fundamental process is the same (once you've joined the site, you can create a profile so others can learn a bit about you and what you're looking for, and browse through the listings of others to find someone who resonates), Gaia Soulmates is, in a few ways, quite different than most dating sites.
- Our message system flows both ways—while the majority of dating sites require that both members be paying subscribers, we ask only that one of the two have a Premium membership. (We think this is only fair; if you write to someone, they ought be allowed to contact you back!)
- Our prices are low—less than an evening out, and designed mostly to ensure that those who join are serious about their intention to find someone meaningful and special to them.
- Our communication system is unique—if someone decides they like your profile and adds you to their list of favorites, you'll be able to respond in kind (should you choose), opening the door to further connection.
Most importantly, though, is something that has little to do with the technology and systems that help the site run. Here, we believe in the power of positive intention and the miracle of synchronicity in finding the partner of your dreams. As with Gaia Community, Gaia Soulmates was inspired by love and goodwill and the desire to offer something wonderful to the world… and what better contribution could anyone imagine than facilitating more love on this planet?
Membership Options
Our Basic Membership is always free, and will allow you most of the options on the site. You can:
- create a profile (and do come try! You'll find our questions are a little different than that of most dating services, and designed to help elicit your most authentic self);
- browse or search the profiles of other members;
- use your personal Intention page to "set an intention" for the sort of partner you'd like to find, so that we can let you know when someone matching the qualities you're seeking in a mate;
- see who has visited your profile;
- receive (and respond to!) messages from Premium members;
- contact any Premium member who has added your profile to their Favorites list.
As a Basic member, however, you can only respond to messages from others. Only Premium members can initiate contact.
As a Premium member, you'll get all the benefits of the Basic membership. Additionally, you can:
- send messages to all others on the site, regardless of whether they're Basic or Premium members;
- add other members to your Favorites list, thus allowing them to communicate with you, no matter their level of membership.
A Premium membership can be purchased at any time by visiting this page. There, you'll find a few subscription options. You can select:
- a 1-month membership for $19.99 (with automatic renewals each month thereafter);
- a 3-month membership for $13 a month (pre-paid, for a one-time charge of $39.00);
- a 6-month membership for $9.80 a month (pre-paid, for a one-time charge of $59.00);
- or (last, and definitely least!) a 12-month membership for $6.60 a month (for a one-time charge of $79.00)

If you're here, you're probably thinking about joining, but are still a little unsure. Perhaps you've never joined a dating site before, or perhaps you're hesitant about meeting someone online.
We'd encourage you not to worry! You're here, like the rest of us, because something has called you.
